North Fork Rancheria provides TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families), but also hosts many community events in Fresno, North Fork and Mariposa.

Some local classes have become popular places to meet other families with small children!

For example, Gymnastics by Dianne in Oakhurst has a wonderful Mommy and Me Tumble Tots program every Wednesday 10-11AM ($10/child — ages crawling through preschool).

Local birth collectives host many supportive events and family friendly gatherings.

Rooted in Season Market (Coarsegold, CA) offers weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly fresh food farm box memberships. Delivery available to nearby locations. Rooted also offers classes and events for farm box members!

Mariposa Farmers Market accepts EBT/SNAP market-wide! Markets are held from 4:30-6:30PM on Wednesday nights (May 7th through October 29th). 5029 Stroming Road, Mariposa.

The Kern Family Farm offers a number of community programs and services, including their store The Gnarly Carrot in North Fork.
