Suzy Corgiat, MA

Suzy is a Registered Psychological Associate with a Master’s in Psychology from Meridian University, where she is currently working on her doctor project towards her PsyD in Clinical Psychology. Suzy began working in the clinical setting with diverse populations (including adolescents, teens, adults, couples and families) in 2023, utilizing an integrative approach through a humanistic/holistic, client centered lens and the propensity for holding a compassionate container for one’s unique cultural and identity experiences. She has a passion for working with sexual abuse survivors with complex trauma and offers strategies from therapeutic modalities such as CBT, IFS, EFT, imaginal psychology, somatic awareness, and mindfulness based on client goals, meeting them wherever they’re at.

For the past 12 years, Suzy has worked as a Holistic Health Practitioner, Traditional Thai yoga and massage therapist and instructor. Her studies in Ayurveda, Eastern Philosophy, martial arts and meditation heavily influence her perspectives on mental and emotional wellbeing. Suzy’s experience in working with the physical body and finding the client’s stored traumas, prompted her interest in the psychological piece of an individual’s suffering. She has also spent much of her holistic health practice in researching neuroscience, the nervous system, and functional medicine.

Suzy has a passion for working clinically with complex trauma and serious mental conditions, with the intention of fostering awareness of how our mind, body, and spirit connection is present in all of one’s internal experience and relational interactions. She believes in the benefits of exploring the role of attachment and intergenerational trauma in unhelpful thought and behavior patterns that underlie our primary life challenges. Suzy received her Bachelor’s in Music, which informs her enthusiasm for guiding clients to utilize their own artistic interests in processing and transforming deep emotional experience.
